DIRECTIONS HOW TO USE THE POOL DETECTION STICKER

Pool Leak Tester

BEFORE YOU START, TURN YOUR POOL PUMP OFF.

Let the pool water settle for 10 minutes.

Always use the skimmer wall for best results.

Carefully apply the sticker so that the water level in the pool matches up with the water level line on the sticker.

Rub the sticker surface with the back of the sticker to make sure all areas are pressed and secured to the skimmer surface and no excess water or air bubbles are behind the adhesive.

Turn the pool pump back on and feel free to enjoy your pool as you normally do.

Wait 24 hours from the time you apply the pool leak sticker before you look at the sticker to make a determination to see if your pool has a leak.

Turn your pool pump off again and wait 10 minutes before you read level of the water.

If the water level is in the turquoise marked “OK” area your pool does not indicate that it has a leak.

If your water level reads in the dark blue leaking area, you can be sure you have a leak.

If you have a leak, start with your pool service company and ask them for a reference or call al local leak detection company.

HELPFUL HINTS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVING LEAK DETECTION

If you look closely, the water level is above the water line on the sticker.  That is because the pump is running, and the water level changes as it continues to move from the pump.  Always turn pump off to apply the sticker and read the results of the 24-hour test.

If you do place your sticker on the pool surface, the bottom of the sticker can curl up a little.  Just push it down when it is time to read the results.

DISCLAIMER THAT CAN EFFECT WATER EVAPORATION IN POOL

Disclaimer:  Extreme heat and winds can have a negative impact on your test results.  Children playing aggressively in the pool can also cause false readings.  Finally, do not do a leak detection test if rain is in the forecast.

It is recommended that you repeat the pool leak test before you incur the expense of having someone come out for a leak detection service that could cost hundreds of dollars.
